Needed something that wasn't a screen and wasn't exercise. Found this at the end of last year after a rough few months. First session I just worked through the practice surfaces without a goal. Second session I made something. The making was the point, not the thing itself. What I noticed was that I couldn't think about anything else while I was doing it, which turned out to be what I was looking for without knowing that's what I was looking for. I've been doing it two or three times a week since January. I've made a set of mugs, a few wooden boxes, a ceramic tray. The ones I've given away are the ones I'm proudest of.
